ClearView has a number of partnerships with great organizations in the community. Through these partnerships we get the chance to learn and grow -- as well as serve in our community. Check out some of the stuff that’s going on in these exciting partnerships!
Each summer we host a community garden on our site at ClearView. Together with dedicated volunteers from the community we get our hands dirty, learn about sustainable living, have some fun - and enjoy the fruit of our labours.
Food for Life is a needs-based food recovery program, distributing nutritious food to many sites throughout Halton. ClearView Church serves as the distribution site for the Clearview community.
Our program takes place each Wednesday, year round. Food is initially sorted in the Burlington Food for Life warehouse. Once it is delivered to the church, a team of volunteers sorts and bags the food to be picked up by our clients each Wednesday afternoon.
Families or individuals with a need for extra groceries are encouraged to contact the church office for more information.
Together with Halton Region, the YMCA of Oakville, and the Oakville Public Library, ClearView hosts a “Kids and Me” program. It is a ‘drop-in’ for parents and caregivers of children 0-6 in the ClearView community who: feel isolated and would like to get more connected to their community, find being a parent challenging and would like to learn tips from professionals and other parents, would like to find out more about how they can find good health information and resources for their families, and are interested in engaging in crafts, stories and other fun activities with their child.
