New to ClearView Church? Find out what you can expect
at our Sunday services.
| 10:00
AM -- Worship Service We’re glad to welcome both you and our guest preacher
Wayne Knight. Wayne is one of the pastors at CrossPoint Christian Reformed Church
in Brampton. Pastor Wayne will be encouraging us to look back at what God has
done in our lives & tell others how good He has been to us. We pray that this
morning you might see a clear view of our God, and be inspired to worship & be
changed by His presence among us. | Church
Family Announcements Next Sunday
- August 3 Next week, Wendy Gritter will be bringing a message from God’s
Word to us. Wendy is the director of New Directions Ministries, and attends Meadowvale
Christian Reformed Church. She’ll be preaching on John 15:1-11 & challenging us
on our Intimacy with God, our Actions for God & the joy that those bring. We hope
you’ll join us again! Prayer Requests Some
of our older members will recall the Heemsbergen family, who moved to Holland
Christian Homes. We are saddened to have to report that Tina Heemsbergen’s daughter
(Ann) passed away earlier this month. Please pray for this family.
Announcement from Church Council As Council
has previously advised, Pastor Joan DeVries had been granted a leave of absence
until July 21. Pastor Joan has also requested that she be able to add two weeks
of vacation to the end of her leave of absence, so she will now return on August
5. Our Worship Coordinator, David Locke, will be working with Pastor Joan to
line up preaching for these additional two weeks. During this time, any pastoral
care matters should be referred to your Pastoral Care Elder. If you are unsure
about your Pastoral Care Elder, you can contact Rita Klomps. Staff
Vacation I will be away on vacation from August 2nd, returning on August
12th. Mom and I are traveling east to Fredericton to visit family and then on
to PEI - just because. We would covet your prayers for a safe journey and a refreshing
vacation. -Jacqui Cornelisse Pastor
John will be returning from vacation this Wednesday, July 30. He leaves on August
2 to August 9 to attend SERVE. If you have a situation that requires immediate
attention please contact Youth Elders - Cindy Schreutelkamp or Jackie deVisser. Pennies
for AIDS Kids, don’t forget to save up your pennies and bring them in
anytime to build our mountain of hope to fight against AIDS in Africa, Asia and
Latin America. Come Celebrate with
Us! Rick Nanninga, a former pastor of this church, is celebrating 25 years
in the ministry as well as turning 50 years old. These milestones will be recognized
at an open house at the Fellowship CRC of Brighton ON. on Aug 30 from 1-4 pm.
All are welcome to attend. Food For
Life You have no doubt seen the ad on the sign out front. Every Tuesday
morning, we are a drop in centre for Food For Life, an organization that picks
up perishable foods from various grocery stores and drops these at points throughout
the city for pick up by those with an identified need. ClearView
church is not managing this program. We are strictly a drop-off location and the
project is managed by Food For Life in partnership with Halton Housing, with the
assignment of a coordinator from Sheridan Woods (across the street from the church).
We are privileged to be able to serve the community in this way and ask that you
all would pray that those who need this service the most would not let anything
stand in the way of utilizing it. What
to Do, What to Do? Are you wondering how you can serve or serve in a different
way beginning now or in the fall? Are you new to ClearView or have you been here
a few years and feel like you just are not fitting in. I would love to sit down
with you and discuss what would be the best fit for your spiritual gifts, personality
style and passion. I will make myself available this coming week, day or evening
as well as the weeks following my return from vacation (August 12th). Please call
ahead for an appointment. Jacqui Cornelisse – Ministries & Outreach Coordinator
